Faraday rotator glass

Description:

Faraday rotator glass has been used in manufacturing of faraday rotational components based on Faraday character of the polarization plane, such as optical isolator, circulator, magneto-optical modulator, fast optical switches, interleavers, laser gyroscopes, goniometric devices, magneto-optic storage and optical information process system, current measuring transducers by magnetic field measuring and high-voltage transmission line, new generation current sensors, wave guides, free space light control, satellite survey and other functional devices.

Core Optronics can offer two kinds of faraday rotator glasses:

  • TG20 is a high Verdet constant glass in common  uses.

  • TGP20 is characterized by a high Verdet constant and a lower nonlinear refractive index n2to avoid self-focusing in high power laser system.
